ArjanWrites: Natalia Kills Performs at Cherrytree London
The first time I saw Natalia Kills perform was when she opened for Robyn back in the fall of 2010. Since then, the British singer has traveled all over the U.S and Europe to perform songs from her debut LP “Perfectionist.” Germany and Poland especially have fallen deeply in love with the “dark pop” of Natalia Kills. She has performed at major TV shows, radio stations and she was a special guest at Life Ball 2011 last month. On Monday evening, she was back in the U.K. to perform at the Cherrytree London concert at King’s College. What I truly appreciate about Natalia’s performance is that she brings an intensity to her performance that is…

Natalia Kills Interview with Elle Fashion
Her music itself—often called “dark pop”, described as “pop with an opinion” by Kills—is fittingly confrontational, aligning agitated and confessional lyricism with brooding, nocturnal production from some of pop’s most salient architects (Akon, Cherry Cherry Boom Boom, and Jeff Bhasker to name a few). This is murder on the dancefloor—but it’s also so much more. ELLE: What did you learn about American audiences through touring with Robyn? NK: Maybe because I recorded my album here in the States, it seems that this is the country where my music will make the most sense to people. The energy from the crowds here was so much greater than anything else I’ve experienced; even though I’m a new…

Natalia in YRB Magazine
Natalia Kills Los Angeles, CA by Gina Ponce Photography by Josh Dehonney Perez Hilton put aside his knack for trashy celeb gossip when he started blogging about an artist he discovered on MySpace back in 2007, and this time used his computer to bring attention to someone who deserves it for the right reasons.
